IoT paper is a device
that digitizes handwriting.
It can be used to display test questions, questionnaires, etc.,
in various formats, and digitize the answers.
The device transforms handwriting with a digital pen
into standardized IDPML format files.
The “Feelwrite®” Sheets enables a “paper and pen” writing sensation.
The writing surface of IoT Paper is covered with customized urethane material - the “Feelwrite®”sheets. The elasticity of the urethane material generates writing friction similar to real pens and paper.
Also, the self-repairing function of the urethane helps automatically erase the slight tracks made by the pen in the urethane, so IoT Paper is maintenance-free.
A newly-developed refill-type pen
The newly-developed “Shinonome SP” pen works almost permanently without any maintenance. It needs no battery, and the ceramic pen tip is not subject to abrasion.
Sampling suitable for
statistical processing
IoT Paper samples data for the pen position, pen angle, and pressure on the tablet surface at constant intervals, making it ideal for statistical processing such as deep learning and machine learning.
In addition, its high-speed sampling of 480 times per second means it won’t miss even the slightest hand tremors - which may aid in medical diagnoses of nervous conditions, high stress levels, etc.
Digitizing Paper Device
IoT Paper shall be connected to PC, Smartphone or Gaming device through USB cable. No battery is required because it is “Bus Powered Device” of USB.
Because there’s no touch panel, it’s possible to smoothly draw accurate figures and shapes, including circles, using a ruler and a Shinonome compass.
